If you have foot pain coming from fallen arches, ankle pain, metatarsal pain, bunion pain, heel pain, big toe pain or pain from ingrown nails, these are some simple home remedies that may give you some relief:
Soaking your feet in a tub of hot water with Epsom salts for 15 minutes, 3 times a day can relieve arch pain or strain. Or, Alternate (15 minutes each) hot and cold foot soaks.
Wearing comfortable shoes (not too tight) with leather uppers (not synthetics) will allow the feet to breathe.
Don’t wear shoes that are too short. This can cause the big toe to become misaligned (a bunion) or lead to damage of the nail plates (resulting in fungal infections).
Keep your toenails cut evenly and straight across. They should not be too long or too short. Toe nails that are rounded or too short will increase the chances of getting infected ingrown nails. (If you are a diabetic, your toenails should be cut by a foot specialist).
Give yourself daily foot massages using your hands, a roller, hydro-massage or foot reflexology. Add a few drops of essential oil into your massage oil. I recommend Aroma Siez, by Young Living Essential Oils.
But if your foot pain is not going away, despite your best efforts at home care, it may be time to look into what is causing your foot pain and the most effective way to get rid of it for good.
Fallen arches, ankle pain, bunion pain, heel pain, big toe pain and ingrown nails can all come from a twisting foot (also called hyperpronation). Hyperpronation can be caused by two inherited, abnormal foot structures – the Rothbarts Foot and the PreCinical Clubfoot Deformity. If you have one of these two common inherited foot structures, home remedies will only give palliative relief, but will not permanently eliminate your constant pain.
Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy was developed to effectively treat these foot structures and eliminate your foot pain for good.
As you learn more about my innovative therapy, you may find that addressing and effectively treating your foot structure may be the missing link to ending your long time battle with unrelenting muscle and joint pain.
